The cadetship selection activity at the University of Cebu on February 5, 2026 brought together deck and engine cadets for a full-day screening program. A total of 37 cadets participated as part of the continuing effort to identify candidates suitable for future onboard training.
The day featured a sequence of assessments, beginning with computerized examinations and followed by one-on-one technical and psychological interviews. Senior ship officers, together with recruitment and branch representatives, facilitated the evaluations to gain a well-rounded view of each cadet’s capability and readiness.
The activity concluded with closing discussions and acknowledgments, marking another successful coordination between the maritime school and industry representatives. The structured approach reinforced shared goals in preparing cadets for the practical demands of seafaring.
