Iloilo City, February 4, 2025 – John B. Lacson Maritime Foundation University (JBLMFU) hosted a Cadetship Selection event on February 4, 2025, in Iloilo City. The full-day event aimed to evaluate and select potential cadets for the university’s maritime training programs. A total of 19 Deck Cadets and 18 Engine Cadets were evaluated during the event. The selection process began with an orientation for all delegates, providing them with essential information about the cadetship program. The orientation, which ran from 8:30AM to 9:00 AM, set the tone for a series of examinations and interviews that followed.
The first set of activities included the APRO & CES Examination for deck cadets at 9:00 AM, while at the same time, a technical and psychological assessment for engine cadets took place. The afternoon session saw the continuation of examinations and interviews, with the APRO& CES Examination for engine cadets held at 1:00 PM, followed by a technical and psychological assessment for deck cadets at the same time. A distinguished panel of delegates was present throughout the day, including Capt. Eduardo Limpin, Dalisay President, Mr. Rowell Beluso, Senior Manager, Ms. Christine Pilar, Junior Talent Acquisition Specialist, and other maritime professionals such as 2/E John Paul Pedregosa, 2/E Andrew Fritz Fabiantes, 2/O Emmanuel Basco, and 2/O Matthew Johnwill Ardiente.
