The Dalisay Shipping Corporation conducted an In-house Training for the cadets who passed the Cadetship Program 2024. The in-house training is composed of various trainings and activities for both deck and engine department. The In- house Training took place on September 2-30, 2024, at Sandigan Maritime Training Inc. 8th Floor Salustiana D. Ty Tower, Paseo De Roxas corner Perea St., Legazpi Village, Makati City, Philippines. The cadets involved in the Cadetship Program are composed of maritime students who passed the examination conducted by Dalisay Shipping Company. These college students are composed are 11 Deck Cadets and 15 Engine Cadets who are qualified to join the program.
For the Engine Cadets, “Engine Training” was conducted on September 9-12, 2024, with 2/E Jasper Pelingon as their instructor. The cadets had an activity as well in Basic Electro on September 18-19, 2024, instructed by Engr. Rodel Luis. Moreover, Engine Room Simulator was conducted on September 20-24, 2024, instructed by C/E Narciso Sambrano. The cadets also had Pre-Departure Orientation Seminar (PDOS) on September 26, 2024, with Mr. Danilo L. Dalida and Ms. Mercelyn B. Tud as their instructors. Furthermore, they had undergone a Financial Literacy Seminar on September 27, 2024, conducted by Miss. Charie Mendoza.
The graduation ceremony held on September 30, 2024, was a well-organized and successful event. It began with an invocation and the singing of the Philippine National Anthem, followed by welcome remarks from Engr. Libres. The Batch President led the oath-taking, and the graduates presented a dynamic production number. D/C Santiago delivered the Batch Prophecy, bringing humor and hope for the future. Certificates were awarded by C/E Guinouma and Capt. Eduardo Limpin, while medals were given to the top three students from the Deck and Engine departments by Mr. Danilo Dalida and Sir Kazotoshi Okura.
